504 Information

The Department of Special Programs works with families to develop 504 Plans for students that may be in need of accommodations in the classroom.  In most cases, the school psychologist, counselor, and teachers will help develop the 504 Plan.  Evaluation is the first step.  If an outside evaluation has been completed, please contact the school to share the information.

A 504 plan is similar to an IEP; however, there is less to the document and it focuses on accommodations rather than goals for students.  504 plans are usually developed for students with medical needs that do not necessarily affect the student's academics.
