See the information below from Mr. Michael Crown, Athletic Director and Dean of Students- South Allegheny School District:
The District has implemented additional security measures at all home athletic events. These measures include no-bag policy, which is attached for your reference, as well as requiring all spectators to pass through a weapon-detection system prior to entering the facility.
While the implementation of these procedures has presented some challenges, the response from the majority of our spectators has been positive, and most have welcomed the additional measures being taken to enhance the safety of our students, staff, and guests.
One issue that has received some attention is the presence of tobacco and nicotine products at our athletic events. As required by Pennsylvania law, tobacco use and tobacco products are prohibited on school property. Accordingly, when these products are identified during the entry process, spectators will be asked to return them to their vehicles or dispose of them before entering the facility.
These procedures are not intended to inconvenience our spectators. They are necessary measures designed to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone attending South Allegheny athletic events. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding as we continue to strengthen the safety and security of our facilities.
To help alleviate waiting times at the gates, we also offer electronic ticketing through Hudl. We strongly encourage spectators to purchase their tickets in advance whenever possible. Tickets can be accessed through the following link:

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support of South Allegheny Athletics as we work to provide a safe and secure environment for all of our students, staff, and spectators.
