Pennsylvania school districts are required by the state to develop and update a Comprehensive Plan every three years. Apollo-Ridge School District has just completed the work needed to update our plan. This plan is a big picture guide that helps our schools set goals, align resources, and make decisions that support student learning and success. It’s created through a collaborative process that includes feedback from teachers, administrators, parents, and community members, and it outlines our priorities, strategies, and action steps for the next three years. I am thankful to those who volunteered their time to be part of our collaborative planning team. A draft of the plan is required for public review and comment before the Board approves it and we submit it to the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This is to ensure transparency and gives families a chance to share their thoughts. A draft of our comprehensive plan has been included with this article. Our timeline is to approve the final document at our February Board Meeting in order to have the document submitted to PDE by the March 31 deadline.
