Mrs. Figueroa has been hired as the Assistant Principal at the Secondary Level. Her philosophy of leadership is grounded in working with stake holders toward common goals of academic excellence, equity, and whole-child development.
"I’m excited to join Apollo-Ridge Middle and High School as the new Assistant Principal! This is my 20th year in education, and in my 15 years in the classroom, I have taught Italian, music, history, economics, geography, language arts, and science to students in grades 4–12 in Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. For the past five years, I’ve served as the Assistant Principal at Mary Queen of Apostles School in New Kensington. I hold a bachelor’s degree in music from Mansfield University, master’s degrees in music and Italian from Penn State and Middlebury College, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership from George Washington University. I’m proud to be part of the Apollo-Ridge community and look forward to a great year as a Viking!"
