Dr. Christopher Clark, Director of Special Programs

Dr. Clark has been with the Apollo-Ridge School District for 17 years. Over those years, he has served as the HS/MS Dean of Students, HS Principal and now the Director of Special Programs. Dr. Clark is a native to the AK Valley as he grew up in New Kensington, PA and is a graduate of Valley High School. Dr. Clark did his undergraduate work at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. Dr. Clark then taught 8 years for Manassas Park City Schools in Virginia where he coached baseball and football as well. Dr. Clark earned his Master's Degree from Virginia Tech in Educational Leadership which also provided his Principal certification, K-12. Upon arrival to A-R, Dr. Clark furthered his education and received his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility through California University of Pennsylvania. Recently, Dr. Clark defended his dissertation in the College of Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Clark's research investigated how COVID-19 has affected students with disabilities in school districts. Dr. Clark is married and has 2 wonderful little boys.
