We will be attending a Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball Game!

We know it's a scary thought, but the chances are it will happen sometime in their lives.  Now is the time to give our children the opportunity to learn how to say "NO!"  The Just Say No! club will provide your child with the tools necessary to make healthy, wise decisions when faced with drugs and alcohol.

The Just Say NO! club is being offered to all students in the fifth grade.  Meetings will be held once a month after school from 3:30 - 4:30. 

Permission forms are to be turned in no later than Friday, September 15, 2006, to permit your child to participate.

Parents wishing to donate snacks or drinks may indicate that on the permission slip!

Students will discuss such topics as:

• Learning how to effectively respond to offers from drug users.

• Learning the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body and mind.

• Resisting peer pressure to use drugs and alcohol.

Let's hope our kids never have to face a situation involving drugs and alcohol.  But, f they do, let's provide them with the tools to make an informed decision by just saying NO!
