Conservation Club

There has been a new club added to the list of extracurricular activities here at Apollo-Ridge. This club, known as the Conservation Club, is sponsored and run by Mr. Todd Hickman.

With a grant from the Apollo-Ridge Education Foundation, the club has been in the process of building bird houses and organizing their booth for the Learning Festival. A few bird houses have been put up outside already, and the club will be observing them for information that will be sent in to be included in the Second Pennsylvania Breeding Bird Atlas.

At the Learning Festival this year, the Conservation Club will have its own booth. They will be selling bird houses for $15 each for people to put up at home and record their own observations. Bird houses can also be purchased by calling 724-478-6000, ext. 1403, or by contacting the conservation club at arcc@apolloridge.com. All proceeds will benefit local charities including the Apollo-Ridge Education foundation!

Just purchase a bird house and start making your own observations!

Bird houses are available for $15 and can be purchased at the School District's office by calling 724-478-6000, ext. 6000, or by contacting the Conservation Club at arcc@apolloridge.com.
